As a unit of the College of Arts and Sciences at the 海角视频, the Department of Music offers a comprehensive approach to educating and preparing student musicians for successful careers as performers, music educators, and music entrepreneurs through its curriculum while enriching the musical culture of the Gulf Coast region. The Department of Music provides a wide spectrum of musical experiences both for its students and the community through its dedicated faculty, facilities, promotion of technology, and commitment to life-long learning. The Department serves with the College and the University in fulfilling its mission.

Undergraduate Degrees

Major in music and choose from concentrations in education (instrumental or choral), music performance, music business or music in outside fields. Non-majors can also minor in music. Both music majors and minors are eligible for scholarships pending a successful audition.

Graduate Degrees

South offers a Master of Music degree with concentrations in education (instrumental or choral), performance or collaborative keyboard. The department also offers graduate teaching assistantships pending availability and a successful audition.

Jaguar Marching Band

---

The Jaguar Marching Band is currently 250 members strong and performs at football games and campus events, as well as other events throughout the Gulf Coast. Students interested in auditioning for the Jaguar Marching Band can find more information here.
